Year 11 Student Breaks Barriers to Win National Silver Medal in Jiu-Jitsu

Szymon accomplished an amazing feat on March 5th, taking the silver medal at the Junior Jiu-Jitsu National Championships. The Year 11 student was able to defeat his opponent in the semi-finals of the tournament by a score of 5-0 to advance to the finals of the Heavyweight White Belt Division. In the final Szymon fought with courage and composure, pushing his opponent to the limit before succumbing to an armlock with 25 seconds left in the 4 minute match. 

Szymon was supported at the tournament by Coach Steve Brinkman, Teacher Jake Munn and his teammates Mikhail and Jude.
