William Allen
Humanities Teacher
William retrained as a history teacher in 2018. He previously spent many years running local charities supporting disadvantaged groups, such as ex-offenders and pupils with mental health conditions.
William is passionate about history and happy to explore any topics of interest with pupils, especially if they are new to him. He enjoys all things historical including films, board games and visiting historical buildings, and finds ways of bringing these into his lessons.
He is keen to nurture young minds and apply his past experience to help pupils to overcome whatever holds them back from achieving their potential.

Edwin Jones
Maths Teacher
Ed brings over 30 years of experience in teaching mathematics across a range of schools, supporting students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to helping pupils develop confidence in mathematics and achieve their full potential. He has a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and works hard to ensure that every student is supported in building strong mathematical understanding and skills. Alongside his classroom teaching, Ed also serves as an examiner for two examination boards, providing him with valuable insight into assessment standards and examination expectations.
Beyond the classroom, Ed has a keen interest in beekeeping. He is currently involved in developing an apiary at the school, giving interested pupils the chance to learn about the fascinating life of a bee colony. Through this initiative, students can gain practical experience in caring for bees, understanding how a hive operates, and learning about the process of producing and harvesting honey. This project also helps to promote an appreciation of the important role bees play in the environment.
