A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for the FHEC Office Administrator. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the centre. As this is a small centre, this will be a multifaceted role, working closely with the FHEC Service Manager and Roman Fields office team.

FHEC Application Pack for Teaching Assistant
Advert Description – Forest House Educational Centre TA or HLTA post (Radlett)
Pay: H4 (TA) / H5-H6 (HLTA) - The higher rate will be paid for an individual with experience and / or with a ‘specialism’ or key area of skill – which will enable the successful candidate to support small groups.
HOURS: 35 hours (negotiable and term time only)
Start Date: April 2026.
Forest House Education Centre (FHEC) has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). FHEC is attached to the Forest House Adolescent Unit, a Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient facility. The Centre provides education for the patients occupying the Unit's beds and ESMA day pupils.
Hertfordshire County Council commissioned The James Marks Academy Trust to provide this service from September 2022. The successful applicant will predominantly be based at FHEC, but may be able to develop their career and expertise by working across the Trust when necessary. If this is required, it will be by negotiation with additional payments for travel attached.
You will be joining the creative, supportive and enthusiastic team; if you are ambitious and of high calibre, you will receive the support to further develop within the organisation. If you are of high calibre but not ambitious, please still apply; this will be an exceptionally rewarding role.
The ideal candidate will have experience within an education and /or care setting; and will be flexible, able to work as part of a team and have good numeracy and literacy skills. Good communication is essential to liaise effectively with families, carers and clinical and social care colleagues as directed by the Service Manager.
